Rally Around the Round

Putting a new round bale out always draws plenty of attention!  The Hereford breed has a reputation for being docile and RFD Farms occasionally gets emails asking if Miniature Herefords also possess the good nature.  Pictures like this one of Rick shows how comfortable and friendly this group of heifers is with us.  This is a result of us walking among them on a daily basis talking, scratching and becoming part of the herd - giving them a positive, non threatening experience.  It is so much easier to work cattle that are handled frequently and it ensures plenty of supervision when it is time to put a new bale out!
